About Us

Ivy Homecare was founded in February 2020 by a Registered General Nurse Manager who has gone on to study other areas like; foundation in mental health, advanced clinical skills assessments and management for adult care. With years of nursing experience working for the NHS and private health care providers, it was while she was working that she pinpointed the gap in the market for good quality homecare, supported by nursing care in the comfort of people’s own home. This can be delivered at a fraction of nursing home costs. We offer a range of services to a diverse range of people.

Ivy Homecare Limited provides a flexible range of services for people who need additional support to live safely and confidently in their own homes. We help people to maintain and prolong the lifestyle they are used to in their own home and give their families the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved ones are in safe hands.

Ivy Homecare was founded by Sheila Jingo, a registered general nurse with over 20 years experience of working in the NHS, and with many years on the front line in the A&E department where she saw numerous elderly patients attending with health issues that, with better home care, could have been prevented. Sheila knew that she could offer a personalised, high-quality service for elderly people who wanted to be cared for in the comfort of their own home and she started Ivy Homecare so that she could make a difference

We Care for Our Carers

Ivy Homecare understands that our carers will do an excellent job in their service if they are happy and confident in their abilities. As a result, training is an essential part of our carer induction process. We offer all new staff an induction training course, and they all come back for an annual update. They also receive specialist training throughout their time with us. 

We have a specialist carer support team who can offer assistance, advice and a listening ear to all of our carers should it be required.
